These two photographs were taken apart almost ninety years to the day. In the photograph on the left, the woman pictured on the right, Leona Houk Sartor, is the grandmother of Stephen and Geriann Sartor, who appear in the photograph on the right.

These two photographs illustrate the first and third reconstructions of the original U.S. Brig Niagra, which was commanded by Commodore Oliver Hazard Perry in the Battle of Lake Erie on September 10th, 1813. This battle was fought near Put-In-Bay on South Bass Island in central Lake Erie.
